Our Share Schemes Expert Group contributed to our response to HMRC's consultation on some of the recommendations from the Office of Tax Simplification's review on how to simplify unapproved share schemes. We welcomed the recommendations put forward by the Office of Tax Simplification (OTS), which will help reduce many of the tax pitfalls which small and mid-size quoted companies experience when operating employee share plans and the Government's willingness to consult on these recommendations. We also commented on OTS recommendations, which were not included in the consultation.
