Following our AGM on 2 October 2012, we published our Annual Review of the work we have done throughout 2012. The review includes a run down of our key campaigns and where we have got to with them, an overview of our seven expert groups' work, and highlights from our events, including our Founders Reception and first Annual Conference.
Our CEO Tim Ward notes in the opening of the review that:
"This has been a challenging year for the Quoted Companies Alliance. As with all businesses we are experiencing a harsh climate in which to develop our organisation. However, in these hard times, we have managed to increase our corporate membership significantly; at the start of the financial year we had 111 corporate members and 103 advisory members. By the end of the year we had 140 and 101 respectively.
"Membership will always be a key issue for us as quoted companies come and go from the public markets. At the moment they are mainly going. Despite this our membership has increased. This is down to the hard work of our team together with the support of our board and several fund managers who actively support what we do.
"This year marked our 20th anniversary – and looking back we have grown from strength to strength since the formation of CISCO (the precursor to the Quoted Companies Alliance) in 1992. Our campaigns and successes throughout the years are impressive and rival those of larger organisations. From influencing the formation of AIM in 1995 to our recent big win in Europe with the Prospectus Directive review – we are able to show real results on how
we are helping small and mid-size quoted companies be able to raise money, grow and create jobs."

We also elected two new members to our board at our AGM this year – Oliver Hemsley, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Numis Corporation plc, and Vijay Thakrar, a tax partner with Deloitte. To find out more about our new board members, click here to read our press release.
