The Quoted Companies Alliance together with MiddleNext, the French association representing listed SMEs and mid-cap companies, and Deutsches Atkieninstitut, the German association representing listed companies, have produced a set of common corporate governance guidelines. They are high-level principles to promote effective corporate governance in small and mid-cap quoted companies throughout Europe.
This in light of the European Commission's current green paper on the European corporate governance framework and aims to emphasise the importance of a proportionate approach to governance and the need for flexibility and a principles-based approach.
