The QCA Corporate Governance Committee drafted this response to the Financial Reporting Council's review of the effectiveness of the Combined Code (Part 1 – Call for evidence). The QCA noted that we believe that the time is now right for a considered review of the Code from first principles, and that we would oppose any “knee jerk” reactions and believe that we should not rush into any changes without considering the full implications.
